Alberta Newsprint is located 10km North-West
of Whitecourt, Alberta, Canada, just off Alberta Highway 43
North. Distances are in Metric (1 Kilometres=0.6 miles).
Directions from Whitecourt (approx 10km West,
travel time 15 minutes):

Travel West on Highway 43 (North), heading towards Fox
Creek/Valleyview/Peace River/Grande Prairie.

Go past the Millar Western Pulp Mill (in town), and over
the McLeod River.

Go through the industrial area, and over the Athabasca
River.

Go past the Whitecourt Generating Station on your left.

Go past the Weigh Scales on your left.

About 2km West of the Weigh Scales,
Highway 43 intersects with Highway 32 North (to Carson-Pegasys
Park and Swan Hills). THE ANC ACCESS ROAD IS TO YOUR
IMMEDIATE LEFT AT THIS INTERSECTION. (a highway sign on the
right shoulder says "ANC Access", with a left pointing
arrow).

Follow the scenic, meandering ANC access road for about
one km (watching out for our resident deer), past our Weigh
Scale, over the railroad tracks (stopping first). and pull
into the main parking lot.

Signs will direct you to the reception area.

Directions to Whitecourt/ANC
From Edmonton (total distance approximately 180km, travel time 1
¾ to 2 hours) :

Follow the Yellowhead Highway (16) West from Edmonton.

After about 40km, turn onto Highway 43 North (signed to
Peace River, Grande Prairie, Whitecourt).

Stay on Highway 43 North for approximately 130km, past
Sangudo and Mayerthorpe, to Whitecourt..

Stay on Highway 43 North for 10 more KMs to ANC turn off
(follow above directions from Whitecourt.)
Directions to Whitecourt/ANC
From Edmonton International Airport (YEG) (total distance
approximately 200km via Edmonton Bypass Route, allow 2 to 2 ¼
hours) :
-
Follow signs from Airport to Highway 2 North (To
Edmonton).

Take Highway 2 North for approximately 3 kilometres
until the Highway 19 (Devon/Edmonton Bypass) Exit (next
exit).

Take Highway 19 West for approximately 12 kilometres
until it intersects with Highway 60 at Devon
-
Take Highway 60 North through Devon (70km/hr limit,
photo radar enforced) and over the North Saskatchewan River.

Continue on Highway 60 North for approximately 23
Kilometres, going through Stony Plain Reserve (also 70 Km/hr
in parts)

Pass over Highway 16A, and continue North on Highway 60
through the Acheson Industrial Area for three kilometres,
until Highway 60 and Highway 16 intersect just past a large
Husky Gas Station.

Take Highway 16 West (Yellowhead) towards Edson/Jasper.
After about 30km, turn onto Highway 43 North (signed to
Peace River, Grande Prairie, Whitecourt).

Continue on Highway 43 North for approximately 130km,
past Sangudo and Mayerthorpe, to Whitecourt..

Stay on Highway 43 North for 10 more Kilometres to ANC
turn off (follow above directions from Whitecourt.)
